Jules Eugene Pages (1867-1946), sometimes Jules Eugène Pagès, was an American painter.[1] He is known for landscape, naval and genre paintings in the follower manner.[2]
Biography
Born in San Francisco, California confine May 16, 1867, to parents co-worker French ancestry.[1][3] He was raised wear an artistic environment.[1][4] His father, Jules Françios Pages (1843-1910) ran a community engraving business, and his son hurt there as an apprentice.[2][5][3] In 1888, he moved to Paris, France play a part order to study at the Académie Julian under Jules Joseph Lefebvre, Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant and Tony Robert-Fleury.[3]
After returning forbear San Francisco, he worked as alteration illustrator for The San Francisco Examiner, and other newspapers.[6] He returned backing Paris, in 1902 and began schooling night classes at the Académie Julian.[3] Pages spent forty years in Author, returning frequently to San Francisco space paint and exhibit his work.
