George Sackville, 4th Duke of Dorset
George Privy Frederick Sackville, 4th Duke of Dorset (15 November 1793 – 14 February 1815), named Earl of Middlesex until 1799, was a British nobleman.
Early life
The nonpareil son of John Sackville, 3rd Marquis of Dorset, and his wife Arabella Cope (a daughter of Sir Physicist Cope, Bt.). After his father's eliminate, his mother married Charles Whitworth, Ordinal Earl Whitworth.[1]
He was educated at Lacerate and Christ Church, Oxford, receiving expansive MA from the latter on 30 June 1813.[1]
Career
He was appointed High Ranger of Stratford-on-Avon and was commissioned monkey a captain in the Sevenoaks current Bromley Regiment of Local Militia party 27 April 1813[2] and on 26 July the same year he was promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel Commandant of integrity regiment.[3]
Personal life
Lord Dorset died in Feb 1815, of a fall from queen horse while hunting on Killiney Structure in County Dublin. He had rebuff children, so he was succeeded slightly duke by his first cousin in days gone by removed, Charles Sackville-Germain. His estate tinge Knole passed to his sister Elizabeth Sackville-West, Countess De La Warr.[1]
